Thesession explored adoption trends and proven use cases across the Department ofDefense.

Peeler emphasized that XR has already moved beyond thequestion of adoption. “The adoption of XR is here. It’s deployed, it’s proven, the ROI is coming back. The Air Force, Navy and Army, they’re saving millionsof dollars every year, right now today, using XR,” he said. “But the questionof whether we’re going to adopt XR or move with an XR strategy, that decisionis behind us. The question is how quickly and effectively can we adopt astrategy that gets at the problem set that we’re after?”

Highlighting the progress already seen in sectors likeaviation, Peeler pointed out that immersive training is producing measurableresults. “XR is here, it’s proven. We can go around all parts of the industry, especially in the early-adopter aviation sector, and see that it’s making ahuge impact every single day right now. And so, today the question is not aboutwhether or not. Today the question is, how quickly and at what scale can I getsome?”

The summit, held April 9–10 at Central Florida Tech Grove, explored The Intersection of XR and AI with two days of workshops, presentations, a hands-on technology showcase, and networking opportunities.

For Mass Virtual, the event served as another opportunityto highlight how scalable solutions such as Virtual Hangar® and enterprise XRclassrooms are already driving efficiency, readiness, and mission successacross the Department of Defense.
